This really makes me want to search through my car to try to find them although i know it's nowhere under the carpet or back seat or headliner, looks like i am getting into the front seats sometime

very carefully.........

Under the rear seat. There are a few codes ripped out but that doesnt really matter considering I can't find many codes online... :?

It's better than the one I tried to get out of an 84 Camaro. It was under the seat cushion, between the cushion and the webbing that supports it. Needless to say we didn't get it out in one piece. Or 10.

The only one I ever found in my Cutlass was an interior trim one that basically just said that it was a Brougham with dark blue interior. I found that one behind the door panel. The one you posted is the "master" build sheet, and lists all the RPO codes, etc. You can use those 3 digit alpha-numeric codes to figure out what the car came with, just like the SPID label.

First, YOU WILL NOT FIND A SPID ON A PRE 84 CAR!!! 84 or 85 was the first year for a spid(service parts identification decal). As for buildsheets, you can find them anywhere. Every assembly had either a buildsheet or broadcast sheet(less info) to tell the workers what went into what cars, BUT it was considered trash and was supposed to be removed and thrown out. If they got sloppy, or someone knew to keep a few in the car, then you're lucky. My car had one in the passenger side door panel, above the headliner(the best of them all it's perfect), and under the carpet, which was entirely destroyed and not even paper anymore, but an imprint on the floor. I also have a broadcast sheet out of the rear seat cusion written in french(being my car was made in St. Therese, Quebec.)
