YES, WHEN THE PLASTIC IS HEATED IT BECOMES SOFTER AND MORE PLIABLE, BLASTING IT WITH COMPRESSED AIR QUICKLY COOLS IT AND LETS IT "SET"...VERY SIMILAR TO SHRINKING STEEL PANELS WHERE YOU HEAT THE METAL TO EXPAND THE MOLECULES AND QUICKLY COOL IT TO SHRINK THEM, REMOVING THE EXCESS OR "BUNCHED UP" METAL.

Keep an eye peeled for when HAFROD begins to sell off his spare Monte SS inventory..should be in about 24 days if his plan comes to fruition

I used an alcohol/water mix in a spray bottle on "mist" for cooling when I was making the PVC ground effects for my Lincoln
 
If you end up going with the later year bumper cover you will also need the tail lights and their housings.
I parted out an 88' SS just to get the rear bumper cover and tail lights etc.for my 83'

You also need the honey comb correct?
