The Voodoo cams were made to best a similar speced Extreme Energy cam across the board and proven on a dyno ( not by me personally ). The Voodoos were designed to be more quiet than the EX too. Given that, it seems logical to me the Voodoo would be the better way to go over an XE cam. Don't let a couple bucks come in the way of you getting a top notch cam that'll work well with your combo.
P.S. That 204/214 cam is ultra generic and can be easily outperformed by many other cams.
