can anyone HELP with temp gauge

Hi everyone I want to install a mechanical temp gauge in my 3.8 cutlass. My question is should I replace the idiot light probe with the new probe or use a different hole? and if I should use a different hole where is the best/easiest place on this motor? Thank you all

The hole for the idiot light can be used. Just tape the wire up against the main harness. There should be only one wire. If there is 2 wires its not the idiot light, it's the computer temp sensor. Hope this helps.
