I have the stock 305 and I am eventually going to either put a 350 or build a 383 stroker but I wanna make the 305 a little faster, are intakes, headers, etc. interchangeable?

both headers and intakes are interchangeable as long as you keep the same vintage of motor.

Everything but the block and pistons/rings. But what will bolt on wont exactly just work. Like the heads, but if they are worked over enough they will work.

305 heads that are the 416 model are identical to the 350 083 heads. You can port the 416's to the same point as the 083's deshroud them etc.

That and you can do the guides in them to run lsx valves, bigger head thinner stem, and put bigger valves in the heads.
With some work theres no reason why you cant make them flow like a good aftermarket aluminum head.

the problem is that 350 parts on a 305 are too big and 305 parts on a 350 too small. that's in terms of air flow, not physical size BTW.

327's have a different stroke than the 305 and 350 it's 3.25 inch instead of 3.48 inch... Same 5.7 rods on the 68 and later 327, the 67 and earlier 327 uses a smaller diameter rod big end diameter. All 327's used different pistons if I recall correctly.

Any Gen 1 style SBC cylinder heads and intakes will go right onto a 327 with no problem, as well as lifters, cams, water pumps, headers, distributors, etc. Almost all SBC parts are interchangeable, as long as you mix and match the right ones...
