That was us roughly a month ago. Luckily the prevailing winds kept most of it away from us most of the time, but when it did move in it was terrible.
I actually heard on the radio this morning that all but 60ish of the 500+ Alberta fires are now out or under control. Nova Scotia however, is another story, they’re just getting started it would seem. That’s likely the source of the smoke currently affecting you. Hope it clears up soon for ya.
Yesterday morning was crazy. Couldn’t see across 8 bays inside the shop. Visibility in the valleys was less than 700-800’. It cleared up as the day went on.
But today the word in the street is that our genius governor is going to lace out an edict that will resolve the issue. I’m expecting all businesses to be suspended and employers have to pay everyone to stay home (and smoke weed.)

What kind of trees are burning up there ? Here on Long Island we have over 100,000 acres of pine barrens. Similar to NJ and MA. The worst brush fire we've had so far war back in '95. Took out almost 4K acres. It was a mess.
How do the departments up there fight these fires ? All of the fire departments out here are volunteer. Like MA and NJ almost every department has at least one brush truck. Some have more than one. I give these guys a lot of credit. Not many people would drive into the woods that are on fire.
