Canadian built vs. American built?

My Cutlass was built in Canada and I now others were built in America. Did they use different parts at either location? Like better suspension, brakes etc.......?

As far as I know, there shouldn't be any difference, regardless of where the car was built.

I don't think there are any differences. I think where the vehicle was going determined what parts got used.

Always thought there was some differences in the hardware. Metric/SAE.

The first letter of the VIN, 1 or 2 The speedo ( KPH or MPH )Some models exterior lighting and emission requirements, Are about the only differences I have ever seen.

Canadian Cutlasses had the sbc and no CCC thru 86. Pretty big differences to me.

They got a different versio than offered in America?
