Car Shakes at 45-70 mph

Left Rear Axle shaft ended up being bent. I Thought the run out number was normal but when I compared it to the brake rotors and the other side it was way out. Put the car up on jack stands threw it in drive and you could clearly see the wheel wobble.
 
Glad you found the problem. And thanks for posting your findings -- I love threads that start as a question and end with the answer.

Thanks for posting. My Monte has a bit of a wobble at higher speeds too. You can see the hood shake and Im always afraid its going to fly open on the expressway. Anyhow my front shocks are smoked so I have some new Billsteins waiting to go in. I think im going to do it at my buddies garage and do an overhaul. New shocks, brakes, rear end and rebalance the tires. See where is goes from there. BTW you have two awesome cars. 81 5.7 Diesel and 85 3.8 both original. F***in cool man.
