Almost for sure a bad ground cable if it started smoking that quickly - and hopefully that was the reason it quit as well (low voltage). There is a chance that the motor doesn't want to turn due to some type of major failure, but generally it should be well more than 5 seconds of full amperage cranking through the starter before that occurs. It would be noce to see if you can turn the motor over by hand with a turning tool to confirm you don't have a motor issue, but DO NOT try to turn it over by the harmonic balancer bolt.
 
Ok I got my car started I charged the battery for a while and cleaned conection a and my engine was cranking but not starting then I checked and the was no fuel going to the carb so I changed fuel pump and it started right up thanks. I think my fuel pump went out then I killed my battery trying to start my car. But now it is all good thanks!
