carb. question

i just picket up a holly carb. with electric choke,.. does anyone know where to tap the electric choke into, needs to be an accessory power. Thanks

im thinking the ignition if Im not mistaken. Dont quote me on that though.

I believe it is an ignition source. 12 volt with key on. looking for recommendation, for something to tap off of under the hood, or should i go to the fuse panel? only 2 sources i found under the hood was one for the wiper motor and one from the ac wires. how critical is it to be on its own source?

Much safer to go off the fuse panel. Electric chokes are just essentially just big resistors. If it shorts out it will take the accompanying accessory (on that circuit) with it. My '79 has a couple empty spots in the fuse panel.

The dist. is a BAD idea! Connect it to an acc. term. in the fuse block...
