does anyone know if the gm Carbureted LT1 intake manifold is the only company that makes one?

probably, since the LT was only made for what, 3 years? plus they had EFI which is a much better way to go.

still not a very long time!

summit sells kits to switch it from fuel injection to carberated, it comes with the manifold and there is also something included to make the opti spark(i think thats what its called) to work with a carb..... would be a good swap but it is alot better and very easy to stck with the stock efi. there is a couple people that you can send the harness and computer to and they will turn it into a stand alone efi system and program it to you needs for like 250 bucks total. very cheap compared to what i have into my tpi setup to make it stand alone...

You could also run a Megasquirt with the stock intake. It was initially designed to run off GM sensors, but can be adapted for just about anything. It's open source too, so you can change anything in the firmware you want. It's also cheap at under $300 for everything for the most complete kit available. The Spectre EMS Pro is the same system (and designed by the same two guys), but comes pre-assembled for $500 more.

i have never heard of the megasquirt kit.... this looks intersting, has anybody here used it?? i think i would seriously consider that route with my tpi and stealthram setup....

my friend just built the megasquirt computer for his car and it runs pretty good. he's still in the process of tuning it, which takes A LOT of time, but i think some of the features that it comes with are worth it. Granted it is a miata with a 5spd, but he has the computer set up for launch control, and flat shifting(where you keep your foot pegged, and you shift regualrly and the computer retards the timing or sumthing (im not too sure as he just got that feature working a few days ago)). As for me,,ill stick to a holley.

I had wanted to build one for one of my project ideas: A 1959-2000 Austin Mini with a Nissan GA16DE swapped in driving the front wheels. It would have had a T-28 turbo and 2 sets of 4 175cc injectors, with the second running only on demand. This was a part of my old idea to get 35mpg in the city in a 14 sec car. My alternate engine was the Honda D16Z6 running a set of individual throttle bodies off of a sport bike engine to make it more compact. Then again, with only 1400lbs of car to pull around, it would probably only need 160hp with a 200 lb driver to get it done...
