CCC "limp home" mode?

Any thoughts on the CCC systems and a "limp home" mode?

Is there such a thing? What triggers it?? would a CEL activate?

I assume something like that would fix dwell and timing at a certain value.....?

Any thoughts? Please forgive my ignorance

Pretty sure you would get a CEL and it goes full rich to save the catalytic converter. The timing is probably in a certain range, others would know for sure.
