Can someone please just confirm if I can use a '86 year style on my '85? and have it fit in right?

ie - are you guys SURE the later year style will bolt into my '85 correctly?

It will fit in place but theres clips instead of screws on the later ones I believe, Its pretty easy to make work though. I think I grabbed one out of a cutlass for my 81 elco and it worked out fine. Im kinda suprised the 85 monte still had a shaft style my 85 regal had a 1.5 din type radio. I thought they stopped using those by 83 or 84

According to the picture that I linked to, it showed screws as well, so i'm a bit leery. I suppose i'll give it a shot and buy it online.
