It does list some 70's Jimmy, Suburban etc. for applications so that makes sense. Not sure about Gbody. Older pickups used that port. Usually a new radiator comes with a rubber cap and clamp in the hardware bag at the bottom of the box.
If I remember correct from when I was at Visteon some of the Colonnade (73-77) Oldsmobile Cutlass and Buick models used the this arrangement as well as some Chevy/GMC trucks. They used the same tanks as the later 78-88 A/G body radiators with a different size core.I had someone ask me if it had a steam port, I said it had this but didn't know what it would be used for.
What application would need to run a heater hose there?
And after a couple of years, that "chinese rubber" plug looks pretty sketchy. Not sure about Gbody. Older pickups used that port. Usually a new radiator comes with a rubber cap and clamp in the hardware bag at the bottom of the box.
I don't know how good it is but I just bought one last year from Napa in a universal size kitAnd after a couple of years, that "chinese rubber" plug looks pretty sketchy.
Anybody have a good replacement for them?
