. Gonna put the 6 cyl back in and find a new toy for the motor.

oh come on, at least a 305-307.

hahaha....this is gonna be my boys first car. He's alot like me and the last thing he needs is a V8 for his first car. Maybe for his second I'll give him a little more power.

a stock 305 is hardly any power lol, (im 16) and I can say my 2000 malibu 3.1 v6 is a lot more powerful than the 305 in my papas 78 malibu. plus the 305 gives him the option to upgrade down the road! lol (im fighting for your son here haha)

I feel ya. I'm sure he would give you some cash (if he had any) for trying to help him. I know 305's are dogs and the only 2 reasons I'm gonna put the V6 back in is because I already have it and it'll get a little more gas mileage than 305 and he won't be hitting me up for gas money twice a day. lol. We'll see though. It will probably be easier to put another Chevy back in because I will have all the fuel lines, starter, etc. on the correct side for Chevy's engines already

Are you ever going to the track?

525 hp is well within the stock and aftermarket bracing.

I will be taking it to the track. Still have a lot of work to do on it though. I'm now thinking of doing a mini tub....always something else to do...haha

If your car is around 3500# you should be able to run a low 11 maybe even a high 10.

Once you hit the 11.5 mark you will "required" to put a bar ( not a cage) in making boxing the frame unnecessary.

A bar can be put in that is very street friendly.I ran a piece of string across the b-pillar as a guide so the bar is somewhat hidden.

My Cutlass pictured below has a unboxed ,unnotched frame, a NHRA legal roll bar and seems to be doing ok. 8)

haha, yeah, it would be easier to put a chevy motor, back in. but if you found him a 305 and let him do the work himself, he will respect that car a lot more than if you slapped a sluggish v6 back in there.

2000 malibu ls, and anyone else really
Are running any of the old computer or did you omit all of it entirely? What trans?
