hahaha....this is gonna be my boys first car. He's alot like me and the last thing he needs is a V8 for his first car. Maybe for his second I'll give him a little more power.

a stock 305 is hardly any power lol, (im 16) and I can say my 2000 malibu 3.1 v6 is a lot more powerful than the 305 in my papas 78 malibu. plus the 305 gives him the option to upgrade down the road! lol (im fighting for your son here haha)

I know 305's are dogs and the only 2 reasons I'm gonna put the V6 back in is because I already have it and it'll get a little more gas mileage than 305 and he won't be hitting me up for gas money twice a day. lol. We'll see though. It will probably be easier to put another Chevy back in because I will have all the fuel lines, starter, etc. on the correct side for Chevy's engines already
