I have a 88 cutlass supreme and have bought the speed tech ATS tall spindle and was wondering if anyone has tried to use circle track upper control arms with these spindles? I've heard of using R/S UCA's arms but I'm worried That the ball joint will bind. I'd like to explore this cheaper option before dropping a lot of money into UCA's. I've looked everywhere and haven't had any luck finding definite answers.

Thanks you in advance!

you are in the opposite situation that i'm in I got the adjustable upper spc control arms and lowers with zq8 spindles...

I have the camaro tall spindles with screw in tall lower ball joint. I have the tubular UB Machine uppers and no problem with the ball joint. Those are nice spindles you bought, are they really over $2,900 with the steering arm?

Do you know the length from cross shaft to BJ and what brand upper CA you use? The spindles and steering arms were expensive yes, but by the time they got to my door... With the shipping BS getting them to canada it was around 1600. But apparently they work really well!

I bought the circle track uppers. Haven't put my spindles on yet so I can't comment on binding. I got the uppers from Speedway and it said to buy two of the 8" passenger side uppers and flip one for the driver side.

I use UB Machine part number UMB14-0809-6L, they are 8". With the tall spindle and the 1/2" I get with the ball joints and the spring height the upper is basically at the same angle above the horizon as it was below the horizon when it was stock I use the stock length control arm. The UB Machine cross shaft can be rotated to give you 1/4" difference f you need more or less room for shims.

that price of $1,600 is just about 1/2 of the prices quoted in US currency so how did you do that?

Ok awesome thank you!

I bought them off speedtechs website the spindle was on sale for 1000 US and the steering arms were around 250-300. Who quoted you that price?
