class 3 receiver hitch

My dad got an 84 El Camino. Neither he nor I could find a class 3 receiver hitch for it. This is the idea we came up with and what he ended up doing.

The Reese multi fit hitch was from Walmart.
The two receiver extentions that were added to the sides to get the width were from harbor freight. Haul-Master item #69882 www.harborfreight.com
