my Heater cable is Verry tight almost like it is sized up? But when i disconnect it from the climate control unit it works just fine...??? What gives. I was thinking, maybe from no Lubrication over the years. I heard that small, toothed push nut break. I have no idea on the size... does anyone? & which lube can i use to get my cable working good again. Someone suggested to me using a Motion Pro Cable Luber, Has anyone tried that?

I've linked a video of mine here. I did a minor overhaul of my A/C head unit. At the 18:48 mark I greased up the swing arm parts with SIL-GLYDE. It's a multi purpose grease I use on a lot of things (mostly O-Rings). You could use almost any good grade grease (white lithium, synthetic bearing grease etc.)

As far as the push nut, you may have to mic the size of the stud or buy an assortment kit and hope there's a size that fits.

Best bet would be to take the unit with you to the hardware store and troll the nut and bolt isle and find the size you need. I never checked, but they should have them. You may have to buy a pack of 10 or 20 to get it though.

Not sure on the differences/changes to different year head units.

Did you fix the issue?

Howdy again, I have not yet worked on the car. I need to order those yet. Pretty low on cash so extra $ for the projects is tight.
I instead reorganized my parts shed a little bit yesterday and polished up my wheel well trim.
