Here's the deal. I came across the cluster for my car with the tach, only downside is that one of the copper traces are broken. I thought about soldering, but I think it will interfere with the plug contact on the other traces. Another idea I had was maybe using a defroster repair kit since it's conductive. Anyone else have any good suggestions? Here's the pics and pieces.

I thinking back to the days of slot cars. Whatever they used for the track to car contact...something in that order.
I forget if it was wide enough for your purpose. It was stick-on, if I recall correctly.

The defroster repair kit might be a good option.

they do sell the whole plastic sheet with all the copper on it. its prolly about time it was changed so that doesnt happen more.

Do you know who sells it?

i've used a defroster repair kit with good results. but i seem to recall that some/all do not have copper strips, so if it's a large gap try and get one to fill it in, then seal over it.

Honestly I think the defroster kit would work. It's just that tiny tab that broke off. As long as it has some adhesive properties I think I'll be fine. I've never used them before but I know they exist.

When I got it, the previous owner mangled it up pretty good. I tried to straighten it out and it just fell off.

I never had to do that particular tab, but I've had breaks/burns in the lines. I used a pinpoint soldering iron with good results.

I might give that a try too.

I've yet to pull my existing one so I don't know what the printed circuit looks like yet. It's exactly like this one minus the tach. I'm guessing it's not the same.
