Need to find the best way to fix the worn clutch rod hole on my peddle. Should it just be filled it in by welding or put in a bushing in the hole? The wear is not that bad, but don't want to wear it out any sooner than need.
 
Build up the worn side with weld and re-drill the hole. Or bore out the hole and add a bushing. If you don't correct the out-of-round condition, the wear pattern will continue just as in a tire tread, and any bushing will break. Take a look at the push rod as well. There's likely to be a groove worn in it as well.

I got an N.O.S. rod already since the old one is worn at the pedal end. This is an issue that was noticed back in '07 when the taken apart. Didn't worry about it till now since there was lots of stuff keeping me from it until now. The other thing is that should I use a bronze, copper, or steel bushing.
 
I just built mine up with weld, redrilled the hole, and filed the pushrod back to round again. Now I too am rebuilding the car, and will likely duplicate what you did and use a oilite bushing. I've seen fancy ones on EBay that use a small spherical rod end.
 
I've never understood why they didn't use a bushing. It looks like the steel bushings for my hurst shifter would fit the rod.
 
I have a couple of door hinge pin kits lying around - if they hold up a 100 pound coupe door, they'll probably work on the clutch linkage.
