Does anyone have any experience with either of those clutches? Who would you recommend.

I've got a 06 4.3/nv3500 5spd silverado, those are the only 2 companies I've found so far that offer clutch kits for it. I don't want one custom made by anyone (don't want to be the guinea pig). I'm lookin at clutchmasters stage 1 upgraded, or spec stage 2+. I'm also looking at heavier duty versions of what both those companies have to offer... Haven't heard good things about spec.
Thanks

I had a T5 with a 383 ( 400 - 450 ft/lbs tq) in front of it in my 84 Cutlass. First I used a Centerforce with the hyd f-body linkage. I'm not sure if I had issues with the hydraulics or what but I couldn't get my clutch to hold in 3rd, 4th, or 5th with much more than half throttle on.

Swapped to a T56 with mechanical linkage. Since the 3rd gen f-body guys swear by Spec, I switched to a Spec stg 3 setup at that time. Held good but the pedal was fairly stiff and the clutch seemed "grabby" to me. It was either on of off, took some getting used to.

Now that I'm rebuilding my engine even stronger, I'm moving from my old 10.5'' clutch setup to an 11''. Still undecided on whether I'm going with a Spec stg 2+ or giving Centerforce (or someone else) a try. With Spec being $75 - $100 higher for my application, I doubt it'll be another Spec.

Thats my story, hope it helps.
