Code VSS fault

I have a 88 Cutlass V-8, that is giving a code 24 Vehicle Speed Sensor fault code. Before I swapped dash, cluster, (rewired plug), steering column, All was well. Now my cruise isn't working and my speedometer is off about 5mph faster at 40. Any suggestions ?
