Trying to see if these springs on my regal are g body springs or from another vehicle. They also appear to be installed wrong but I may be wrong. Any help would be appreciated.

They appear to be cargo-coils that are experiencing upper coil bind. Or is your trunk full of cement blocks?

No. Its been like that since I bought it. I was just seeing if they were the wrong ones or if something was wrong with them before I bought some replacements.

This is what a cargo coil looks like new. They are an option for practically all coil spring models. When the short coils get close to bind, the wider coils take over. It is a progressive type spring. Your's look like they are at bind already, and should be replaced.

Ok. Appreciate it. I changed the shocks yesterday. I tried to be cheap and hope that the springs were still good. Driver side is still not level with the passenger side so I will replace those today. Probably with some factory replacement variable rate springs. Nobody has the cargo in stock around here.

Thats just a progressive rate spring they should be the same however humor yourself and just swap side to side ... My elky always sat a little lower on the pass side even after I put new springs in all the way around... I wonder if GM compensated for a driver never check it with someone in the car.. :?

Good idea. If so that will save me 70 bucks for some front end parts or something else. Also after looking at bumpin1ohm rear setup could it be possible that they are in upside down? If you look at his rear you will see that the tighter wound coils are to the bottom and on mine they are to the top. Or am I completely wrong because these can only go in one way?

Technically they fit either way, and function the same. By all means swap them around. I swapped mine from side to side and still my car leans to starboard, and they were brand new. The only thing the manual says is that the top end of the spring must point 90 degrees to the driver's side.

that would mean we'd all have to weight the same as the driver GM set up the suspension for before GM would sell us a car..
