will the column shift linkage on my monte with that had a 200 4r work with the 700 r4 that is now in its spot? i cant seem to make it work, i just dont want to waste to much time and energy if it wont work, cause then ill have to get somthin else just worried bout goin floor mount with the split bench

nobody? this is like the only thing i havent quite figured out yet. i cant seem to get the factory linkage to work, i cant even get it to line up/ hook in correctly. i have found an after market linkkage from lokar but it doesnt look like it would really work any way. it looks more like a street rod type application. im trying not to go to an aftermarket floor shift yet, because i have the factory split banch that i will change to buckets later and plan on building a custom console, to fit with the seats. thanks

Are you running headers? If so, some clear better than others, and that may be why you're having trouble. You might have to modify it a bit, but I would imagine you'd be able to make it work.

nah i strayed away from headers for now. im just running the pypes set up off the manifolds and it seems to clear that. its hard to explain with out lookin at it. it doesnt seem to line up at all. it probably isnt very common somone doing this sort of swap and keeping the column shift.
