comp.control q jet to reg. q jet

hey yall, i have been thinkin bout swapping from computor control q jet to an edelbrock q jet my buddy will sell me. i know i will need to change to a non computer distributor. i have fairly new vacum advance in cap coil id use. my question comes in with the lock up converter in my 700r4, will going non computer on the carb and distributor affect this functin within the computor, if need be ill get lock up kit to install, but if i can avoid it i will. long story short, im not trying to boost performance signicantly, im just trying to get rid of some wire clutter, and some emmisions stuff while still being able to pass. they dont do a visual here really so as long as you got cats and it passes the sniffer your good.i just hate trying to work around the stuff, thanks

the computer does control the TCC lockup so you need to put in something. they're simple enough if you want to just build one yourself.

thanks. i just wasnt sure how all that worked in conjunction with each other. havent worked on a car with a lock up or overdrive before so wasnt sure. might not be the right section to ask but does anyone know if the stock column linkage will work on the 700r4? it was a 200r4, i just cant seem to get to hook in to it, and i dont really want to get a aftermarket shifter cause its an ls monte with a split bench and it just wont fit right i dont think.

Hey I dont know what trans it is I have 86 olds 307 colum shift, But I just did this carb swap went the that link, but what of that stuff do I need to order? thanks
