computer question

What does the computer control in an 87 cutlass? How easy is it to bypass if you swap out 307 for sbc. I have dealt with older G Bodys before but this is my first newer one.


I put a sbc in an 81 GP. and olds 350 in 78 cutlass w no problems, but the 87 has more emissions and nonsense.( computer)

i believe all you need to bypass it is a regular qjet ( or other non ccc carb) and a regular hei distributor..... i think 🙂

i just went through a load of crap because my brother said i should use the computer ignition advance. boy was he wrong. just save your self time, get a regular carb, vac advance hei distributor, and a torque converter lockup relay if you have the 200-4r.
