I'm in desperate need for front shocks and springs on my car and I've narrowed down to Moog and Blisteins. The Blisteins from what I understand, will need to come from a 97-newer Blazer 2wd but i'm unsure whether to get the Hd or regular shocks and the same goes with the springs. (Variable or Constant)

Its really personal choice. A constant spring will be predictable and consistent all the time while the variable may change handling characteristics as it compresses more. The choice is yours and both can be made to handle very well

yes linear means constant. The bilstein shocks I have are used in circle track racing and come in 2 different lengths. I have never seen a variable spring for the front of any car. The variable spring is used in the back to give it a soft ride and when compressed the spring rate increases so you can carry weight in the trunk.

those are self adjusting shocks so I don't use or have had any experience with them...the ones I use are the AK series

BIL-AK1043 FRONT - short
BIL-AK1044 REAR - stock length
BIL-AK1051 FRONT - stock length
BIL-AK1052 REAR - short

for your spring you are going from 420 spring rate to 767 spring rate with the numbers you posted. I have the 5660 cut 3/4 of a coil and in the rear I use the 83 Phoenix spring cut with a f body isolator on the top

Ok so now I kniow which shocks I'm ordering and I'll probably use the 5660 like you and cut it but by cutting the spring, doesn't that make the ride more bouncy or that's only from heating the springs?

heating springs is a big no no. cutting springs is perfectly fine as long as you know how much to cut and you do it equally
