You guys who turn the RWL's inside are crazy! RWL rock and it's unfortunate you can't get a decent performance tire with them or ANY 17"+ performance tire with them. Somebody needs to step up...
On a related note, and a real sore point with me is the fact there are VERY minimal choices for 15" RWL ( or no RWL for that matter ) in traditional 'muscle car' sizes. All we have are basically BFG TA's and the Coopers which are THE EXACT OPPOSITE of what most people want out of tires for a muscle car. Think about it, how often do we drive our muscle cars? In what weather do we drive out muscle cars in? What are we looking for out tires to do? So these idiot tire companies make tires aimed at the muscle car owners that trade traction which these cars need for better treadwear which we don't need because these cars aren't driven all the time. They are also all-weather tires with the ability to drive them in mud and snow ( because most muscle car owners do that all the time right
) but we again sacrifice traction for this. Let's not forget the poor speed ratings and cornering these tires provide compared to a real performance tire too. Who needs that on a fast, fun, nice weather car right?
The first tire company to offer a performance nice weather RWL 15" tire ( just turn them inside if you don't like RWL ), will sell alot of these tires. There is still a huge demand for something like this but all we get is junk all season tires that look cool and perform like garbage. The best of these garbage RWL 15"er's were the Indy 500 Firehawks and they are now discontinued.
P.S. I am NOT saying there shouldn't exist a cheap all weather, low wear 15" RWL tire. Of course the BFG TA's aren't really that cheap though are they?....
