Ok my turn. My dream car would be a 78-80 Monte Carlo. Look factory fresh. Have 400-500 horse. Be able to cruise any were with the ac blowing and get 20 mpg. O and whip the 383 stroker guys! This how I'm going to do it. I bought a 80 Monte Carlo turbo that is super clean. Putting together a turbo 3800 engine with an overdrive trany out of a 96comaro. Don't have all the details worked out yet. I do have a pile of parts though. Why? My car has a buick turbo engine. Engines are plentiful and cheep. Only a few people have one. I will be daring to be different! And I have had plenty 350 Montes, boring!

Thanks for your kind words ssn696.

I’ve been lucky thru the years and have pretty much been able to build the vehicles I thought would be neat to have, although there were a few on the list I never got around to. I’ve got a couple of projects I’ve got to finish up….the little Ram 50 I stuffed a 283 in and my 37 Dodge pickup project, but those are already pretty much planned out.

I really have no idea about what the next “start with a blank sheet of paper” projects will be, but I suspect the project will be heavily influenced by these guys…..my 2 grandsons, the oldest is 13 so a drivers license is not that far off. He’s already hinted he would like the Ram 50, but been informed if he wants a hot rod he’s going to have to build it (and pay for the majority of it) himself.
