so i want to do something with my doors but no suicide doors or lambo doors. i was thinking about seeing if i could make mine open a full 180 degrees. is there any way to do that? thanks guys

So you want your doors to open all the way to the fender? You would have to make a way to have it slide out as it opens or you will slam it on the fender and buckle both. Im not sure how or why it would be done but to each his own I guess.

thats exactaly what i wanna do but i havent a clue how. autoloc makes a kit with that option and labmbo doors and all kinds of other options all in one but its like 12 grand haha

The new extended cab Chevy pickups have rear doors that open 180deg..you could look into maybe using those hinges.
I have absolutely no idea if they'd work.

Technically they only open 170*. If they went a true 180* they would hit the bedside. 😉

Going this route on a G-body would be a big pain in the butt to drive it anywhere. You'd likely never get to use the full 180* function because you'd hit another car. Assuming your talking about doing the truck door method.

To do them so that they rotate 180* being going forward and flipping upside down then your only option is the Autoloc method. Or you engineer your own hinges. You'll probably find out real quick why they are charging $12K. 🙁

To me it seems like one of those ideas that might have sounded good at first until you figure out you don't have the fabrication skills or the funds to actually make it happen. Other than just being different I seems to me it would more of a hassle trying to get out of a car when there is nothing to stop your door from hitting the car next to you and I am certainly not going to pay for that inconvenience.

if i opened my door all the way it would smash the sh*t out of the car next to me anyways but someone told me that they have extenders on the rear doors of cop cars so they can open them farther (not that far) but still more than normal so they can put people in the car easier

Make it open the way an astro vans sliding doors do, I seen on my classic car an old '30s car that opened like that.

Or like the car with the most bad *ss doors on the planet. The koenigsegg CCX or Agera
