OK... So my Cutlass has bee idling rough and occasionally dieing when idling in gear for a while now, but now it's started dieing while just driving down the road if i don't drive 2 footed keeping the gas pressed a little.... I rebuilt the carb for it a few years ago now, but it was doing it before that. There's a youtube video that I took of it that I linked here a little while back with it doing it. It's nowhere near as bad as in that vid now but it's still not right...

Here's what I've done/replaced over the years to try and fix it:
Replaced O2 sensor
Replaced Ignition module
General tune up
Set and reset timing
Replaced every vac line
Replaced EGR valve
Replaced all components of the PCV system
Replaced TCC solenoid
Replaced exhaust system
Replaced fuel pump

The only thing I haven't replaced yet that I suspect (and have suspected for a little while now) is the EGR solenoid..... and that hasn't been replaced yet cuz it's expensive... I may try and find one at pull-a-part here soon...

Here's my thread from before for reference...

your intake hasn't developed a vacuum leak has it?. If you take carb cleaner and spray it at any spot where there is a vacuum leak you'll notice it when the idle increases

Why not disable the EGR and see what that does. Be aware that you may get detonation under load with no EGR, but that's part of the test.

I may try that.... got another vehicle back on the road today so the cutlass is back to emergency transportation right now until I either have to go back to driving it or get the others fixed so I can spend some time on it again.... I need to get it fixed, but others are the priority right now..... Sometimes having all older vehicles sucks... lol
