Ok guys. As you may know, I have a thread in the wanted for fenders for my Wagon. I have a 79 header, Olds wagon, that I am using. I need fenders now. So, I happened across a guy today who has 81 or 82 sedan fenders, local to me, I would like to try out. I don't think he even knows the exact year.

The question is, what is the difference in the FENDERS between 78 thru whenever they stopped making the sedans, 84 I suppose? I am not worried about parking lights, they will get filled anyway.

I am going to go and look at them tonight. I can tell the difference between the coupe and sedan/wagon, the wheel-well and all is entirely different. But since I don't have 78-9 fenders to base my comparison, I have no clue. If the lines are in the same spot, and they are the same length etc, I'll use those fenders.

I know the Hollander lists different fitments, but i already know that is very accurate. If a light is in a different spot, then the Hollander won't include it.

Thanks guys.

Just bought some 82 or 83 fenders. I'll see if the 79 header fits.

my 87 and 85 cutlass sedans had the same fender as you have pictured above
im pretty sure all 78-87 cutlass sedan fenders and hoods are interchangeable
so the header panel on a 78-80 should also fit on the 81-87 fender/hoods
i might be wrong, but i doubt it. The body lines are the same on all year cutlass sedans also

Yeah man, short of the marker lights, they seem the same. The header panel lines up, and thats what I was worried about.

Thanks guys:grin:
