Will the A/C air box bolt right up or will I have to cut the firewall ?
Also , So if this is a G body,....
What years are the same as the 86 ?
Is it 81 to 88 ?
Chev Monte , Olds Cutlass ....
Any others that would work ?

I had a 79 cutlass. I only have the box and the controls. It really isn’t what you’re looking for, I’m just looking for a heater only set up for my Malibu.

The firewall panel is the same for all models '78-'88, heat only or heat-A/C so no cutting. The only difference with Chevy parts is the center dash vent itself between the '78-'80 & '81-'88, everything is the same. Don't forget the GMC Caballero uses the same dash as the Monte/Malibu/El Camino.

I ask because I never seen a Monte SS without AC from te factory here in the states. That and the Cutlass has a small block Chevy. So you were either Canada or California. No AC ...must be Canada.. Eveeything bit the duct work behind the dash is the same on that Cutlass . Unbolt the box and bolt in right back in. There are 2 or 3 bolts under the dash behind the glovebox.

Also you want the glove box from the Cutlass it is different due to the size difference of the AC box. Yese it will fit the Monte just the same.

For a heat only to heat-A/C conversion the glove box change isn't really that big of a deal as the heat only box is smaller. The issue is going the other way.

Interesting on the glove box. Yeah, he has nearly every Cutlass on the road up here for parts. He can also go non CCC easily. I assume the SS is like the H/O and 442, basically converted US cars and all have CCC.

Are there any engine pulleys still available somewhere ? The main pulley, power steering, fan pulley, ect ........ ?

Any '86-'88 B, F, or G with a SBC or 4.3 will have what you need. '82-'85 would require you to replace the alternator pulley to a V-belt style.
