I bought a cutlass thats in better condition as far as the body & frame (kind of butchered on the inside) than the one I'm currently driving so i'm going to switch everything over to that one but the rods that help lift the trunk are broken on the passenger side. is there any way to fix these?

Yeah, take them out and replace them with ones that aren't broken.

Hey Joe, I just went outside to take a look at the bars on my other cutlass & I found out the slot should be like that so it looks like the bar just popped out some kind of way. How can I get it back in?

They attach to the trunk ares & bolt to the inner fender well.

I been looking but I can't find any. I read somewhere that they only come on the 81 cutlass then they were ditched... I don't know how true that is but I need something to hold this trunk lid up A.S.A.P!!!

I think there was 2 different 81 setups. There was the big shock setup and a small shock setup. I picked a set of the big shocks off a salvage yard car and forgot the brackets as I thought I had them. Turns out I didnt have the brackets. Just 2 pegs, one on the hinge and one one on the seat frame.
