Cutlass vs. Cutlass Supreme

No, the frames are the same so you can put the same exhaust on both.

Ignore any statements that "headers won't fit Supremes". It is an urban myth that won't die. There is absolutely no difference in the frame, motor mount, block, or anything else that matters. Just tell them the headers are for a Cutlass.

I know the JEGSTER transmission crossmember says it won't work on the Supreme. That's a pile of poo also.

I know. Where the HECK did that concept come from anyway? Why, oh why, do some companies think GM used some sort unique chassis on the Supreme? DOH!

EXHAUST!!!

i bought a g body 78'-88' exhaust kit with mufflers and all the pipes and stuff from jegs. Do you think that it would mount up easy? It has all the hangers and bolts and stuff too. ALso they are true duals.....should i need a catalytic converter. It a 86' cutlass supreme....i just droped a chevy 350 in it and it's just running of headers right now. Really dont wanna drive it around because i dont want to burn my exhaust valves...so i heard

You will need a dual hump crossmember if you don't already have one. Either that or have the original one notched to fit duals. If you have vehicle inspections or emissions checks in your state then you better throw cats on it. If not, don't worry about them. I am not putting them on my 79, but it is not a computer controlled engine and SD has no emissions checks or inspections.

how do i know if i have a double hump crossmember?

When you look at the crossmember, there will be either one hump or two. When your looking at it you'll see what he means.
