Cutlass vs. Cutlass Supreme

You will have to have the one you have notched, that is the only other way. The exhaust shop should be able to do that for you. You can get a dual hump crossmember pretty reasonably, and they bolt into place of the factory crossmember. If you have the original notched, be sure it is reinforced before you drive it.

Outsider: It was a ad typo error they fit all g-bodys..if you want the best crossmember get icemans its another $20 over jegs but money spent vs pleasure gain..100%

The jegs crossmember refers to 4-door not supreme

I know, but the ad says it does not fit Cutlass Supreme. Says nothing about 4 door or 2 door. http://www.jegs.com/i/Jegster/550/41050/10002/-1#

Two door and four door frames are the same. If it fits one, it will fit the other - and wagons and even El Caminos (which are the only 78-88 cars with a different wheelbase).

I have the jegster double hump for the TH350 (p/n:41050) My 81 malibu 4-door originally had the th350 w/O.D and I am putting in a sbc 350/ th350 combo. So I took the old x member out and went to put the jegster in, but how the heck does it go? My Emergency break cable interferes with it when mount lays on the frame and the box (of the x member) sits flush. :blam:
Any pointers? Pictures? Help?

Or if you're a fan of the do-it yourself, you could go to the junkers and find another single-hump crossmember, cut it (measure ten times, cut one time haha) and cut your original, then weld the two together with reinforcment. It's doable, just not the easiest route. definitely the cheapest.

Another way to go is to sell off the system you bought, and get a custom system that runs both pipes under the single hump. The drawback would be $$. Like others have said, it's best to buy the double hump crossmember.
