if i only end up cutting the front, i only have to modify the front bumpstop. correct?
 
you are talking about a 25 years old spring .....you may remove the spring just to notice that it already misses a part ....when i removed my front springs, one ,had a half coil gone ...
why not switch to new coils they aint expensive ....and all that work to replace an old spring back in there ;-(
