i actually found the olds 307 had more tourque and just overall jam then any 305 ive ever owned. if its running good, id kill that before i do a swap, unless of course your just not happy with it. im looking into putting a 350 in my 87 next summer so ill probaly thro a shift kit in at the same time. any idea which is the best or easiest to install on a cutty? ive never actually done it but i cant imagine its that hard. mine a column shift so i already plan on warming up the old grinder an hackin a hole in my transmission hump :wax:

As you see in my signature I went with TransGo. I think it's a great kit and I couldn't be happier with it but it wasn't exactly easy. I was able to do it without any past transmission experience but there was just a lot of work involved. More than a B&M kit anyway. B&M is a lot cheaper but there isn't as much to the kit. I've heard CK performance makes a pretty high quality kit. It all depends on what you're looking for. There should be a few different threads on here about shift kits.

not really looking for anything special, just different. i dont race this car so its pretty much just a cruizer but id still like something other than the crappy column shifter.
