Got some pictures the other day. The shop is on holidays but the owners son is working on it. He added 2 inches to the core support to house the Rad I think it looks great

So I think I figured out why the motor in Dad's car didn't survive, The MSD 6AL was hot wired into the HEI distributor and it wasn't done nicely. Aside from eating the bearings out of the rockers it is what it is.. Since things have kinda been slow (Should be done now LOL) We have figured out the new heads don't match the old headers Ovals for the Old Dport for the new. everything was ordered yesterday so,
Things should progress to the body shop by the end of next week all the little things

Fuel Pump
cartridge Filter
Gauges (Fuel, Engine Temp, Oil)
Gauge Pod
Starter... Long story but this https://www.classicchevy.com/chevy-...matic-transmission-1955-1957-57-132290-1.html
because the lobe was broke off..
Oil Pressure shut off (car losses OP fuel pump cuts off)
Trans Cooler mounts
I still have a feeling that this is his last laugh and im sure in his past life he is a bigger prick then when he was alive ..
Next year its Suspension im thinking Pro Street
its been a long road from letting it sit till it was on my terms.
She's ready for the motor just waiting on Dport Shortie Headers

Progress has been made,

Sourcing parts turned out to be a freaking nightmare most of it was being sent the wrong parts because hey why not just ship random sh*t out of a box then actually look at partnumbers..

Headers 5 sets
Fuel pumps 6 of those the list goes on....

but as of now we are almost ready to push this heap into the body shop and get to work.
I will eventually need a frame rail on the passenger side but that can be gotten to next year
Once its done ill clean up the rest of the hoses and wires that are about

What headers did you end up running to match the D-ports? Are those angle plug heads or straight plugs?

its been way to long.. The original post is locked so I'll link to it and post here

Original Post

this started way to long ago to remember.

Still to be completed

(Suspension) I have a full kit in the Garage
20 Inch Rear wheels (Ordered) I just don't like the look as it sits
Interior (Mostly Ordered and some parts here already)
Re Do the headliner (new headliner on order) then 2 tone the interior (Black and Red)
Autometer Invision digital Dash

Transmission is not going into gear (I'm confused it drove into the body shop 3 years ago)
Its at a shop right now might just rebuild what I have and go from there

It goes back once they get the Transmission issue sorted then one more stop for the Exhaust cut outs and X-pipe

Ugh the images decided to not place in order...
