The dash in my 83 Cutlass is perfect. I was wondering what everybody uses on there dash to keep them treated and polished. I used to use Armor All but was told it only polishes the dash and dont really protect it. So I was just wondering if that is true and what everybody uses.

I've used formula 303 (sold at boat shops) and just tried a (somewhat) knockoff brand with mink oil... Seems to clean/protect as well as the 303, with 1/2 the price...

Not that 303 is expensive, but that's a couple bucks that could go elsewhere, lol

I think anything with oil, which is any of them really, will work. Apply often to keep from getting dry. Dryness is why they crack. If you remove moisture from anything, it will quickly disintegrate. That's why direct sunlight also damages them. So whatever you use, use it often generously and use a toothbrush as a trick to get into crevices. 😉

I myself, and anyone else who works in a body shop, hate Armor All due to it's high silicone content.

I've been using Wizards Vinyl Shine for years and love it.

Yeah, I won't touch Armor All either. Personally I use a lot of Meguiar's products, but I also like a lot of Wizards and Mother's stuff too. It's ultimately up to you, but look for something with some sunblock in it.

I use armor all all the time. But in the engine bay not the interior. It's a neat trick try it out

that is a good trick... I use ArmorAll on my inner fenders to keep the plastic shiny, and anything else that's not painted.
ArmorAll will eat paint...

Quick underhood detail a buddy and I used to do: Spray the engine bay down with degreaser (only if needed), power wash everything really well, let drip dry a few minutes, and then just spray bomb everything with the interior detailer of choice. Let it idle til dry, wipe down spots and buff as needed. Works beautifully.

Another good product to consider is Vinylex by Lexol. It's a turquoise blue colored plastic spray bottle. Can be used on plastics, rubber, vinyl, etc. It works great on dashes and on clear plastic gauge windows, or faces.
