Okay guys, Ive got a lot of the wiring for my dash figured out but Ive got a few that Im not sure about.
This one might be for the radio but since thats long gone Im not 100% sure. It was wrapped in electrical tape that was coming off. I pulled the tape all off to find all three wires cut, each twisted together and covered with more tape instead of being soldered.

Im thinking this used to go to the ECM. Can I just leave it up under the dash now that the ECMs gone ?

Anyone know what this thing is ? Its got an odd connector on the end of the wires.

I know one is for the stop light switch and the other might be for the cruise but Im not sure which is which and how they go on since it looks like they can go on either way.

Any of you wagon owners have any idea of where these go ? Im stuck.

1st is the radio power/ground/back light pigtail
2nd is the ECM, hide it for now
3rd is part of the speed sensor that was attached to the speedo, again hide it
4th is the brake light (black w/ orange & white) & TCC switch (clear w/ purple & pink/black), both plugs into the gray switch but you can also hide the TCC pigtail

Thanks for the fast reply !
I have to go out there and look in the morning but I thought the two connectors in the last picture are the same configuration as far as spacing just different color wires. The males on the gray switch are spaced differently.
What is the TCC switch ?

Torque Converter Clutch, what makes the converter lock up feature work on the newer transmissions if I remember right.

Now Im getting really confused ! LMAO
What does the stoplight switch have to do with the TCC ? And what goes to the switch right above it ? I thought that was hooked to the cruise control. There was a piece of hose connected to the nipple sticking out of it and a bunch of wires were taped to the hose but all of them were cut flush with the end.

When you hit the brakes you also deactivate the TCC unlocking the transmission. Slowing down you don't need it locked. That other switch is the cruise switch. Your original cruise used vacuum to work. Good news for having cruise you have the hole in the firewall for the upper clutch rod if you want to ever put a stick shift in.

Thanks for all this info. Hopefully I'll be out there working on it again this weekend. I'll let you know how I make out !
