what's up everyone, well i just picked up a nice crack free blue dash from 85 and want to paint it grey like the rest if the car or black not sure yet but what are the steps to doing the painting i know to clean it good but what about buying the right paint an also read one time you need a another spray to make sure the paint stays on? thanks
SEM does a good job. Adhesion promoter is recommended.
Just do an Internet search to find a place to buy it.
I did all my interior pieces they came out very nice.

Yeah did a nice job on your interior. Did you have to take out the dash to paint it?
Yes the dash was out ,it was a new old stock dash I bought about 8 years ago and I stored away.

That looks really clean. Roughly how many cans did you have to use? And how much did they cost total?
Five cans of dye two of adhesion promoter, about $44 worth. for the dash and all the rest of the plastic parts.
That's not as expensive as I thought. Good to know. Thanks.

Not to be a dick here, but it is not dye, it is paint. Dye soaks in and SEM's and anything used on vynil and plastic sit's on top. Like I said not tring to be a dick about it.

I got good results from rust-oleum vinyl and fabric on my dash. Didn't stick to the seats very well though.
