DASH REMOVAL IN 79 LEMANS SAFARI WAGON

TRYING TO REMOVE MY DASH IN A 79 PONTIAC LAMANS SAFARI WAGON. I HAVE TOP BOLTS LOOSE AND BOTTOM BOLTS LOOSE BUT IT SEEMS LIKE THERE MUST BE BOLTS SOMEWHERE BEHIND THE GUAGES NEAR THE CONSOLE !! ANY HELP WOULD BE APPRECIATED TO GET ME IN RIGHT AREA . I,M STUCK AND I GOT TO GET MY CAR RUNNING AGAIN. THANKS DAVE

Drop the steering column. There is 1 bolt holding the dash that needs to be removed there, but the steering column needs to be dropped down to get to it.
Whenever I change a dash, the first thing I do is completely remove the column to get it out of my way.

SOMEWHERE BEHIND THE GUAGES

make sure to remove the speedo cable from the speedo. I believe there a 10MM bolt under the dash in the center (under the radio/AC) unit too.
