Back out in the garage working on the wagon. Trying to get the dash and steering column back in.

The knuckleheads in the body shop split the bulkhead connector instead of just taping around it. That wouldnt have been too bad but they rolled up the dash harness and left it on the floor in a heap.
Ive got all the ducts back in. Ive been trying to figure out whats needed and whats just excess crap under the dash.
I think the top photo is a small radio harness. Im pretty sure I can identify the plug for the headlight switch, cluster, and all the plugs for the column. Lighter is easy, so is the heater.
I removed the wire for the back hatch since the stuff in the gate was gone. Same with the wire for the rear window defroster. There was also some stuff that might have been for the cruise control and it was cut at the end of a piece of hose. Thats gone now too.
Whoever was under there messing around with the car before I bought it tapped into the wire for the lighter with a scotch lock connector and added a fused line. For what I have no idea.

Im a little stumped on how the harness should be routed. Does it go on top of the metal plate for the column or underneath ? In front or behind ? To be honest I have no friggin clue.
Since the dash is so fragile I dont want to get it all together and have to pull it back out because I ran the harness the wrong way.
Anyone have their dash out that can take a few photos ?

Harness should attach to the dash, and go in with it. Here are a couple pics of the dash I pulled out of the 82 sedan parts car

Brian, thanks for taking the time to post those. I dont remember the harness being attached to the dash when I pulled the original one out. Thats not a good sign ! LOL
At this point I dont think Im going to attempt reattaching anything to the dash besides the necessary trim pieces since its kinda brittle.
