how to tell the difference between a quick ratio steering box and a regular one?.

A quick steer ratio box was normally put in the Monte Carlo SS. The way you tell if its 'quick steer' is if it's 2.5 turns lock to lock. Most G bodies are 3.5 turns lock to lock. The way you check is by turning your steering wheel all the way to the left and then counting the turns it takes for you to turn all the way to the right.
