Ding strip adhesive

I'm in the process of taking the adhesive from the drivers side ding strip off. the passengers side is done, but i ran out of the cleaner i used to get thte double sided tape residue off the pass. side :? i can't seem to find what i used before anywhere. any suggestions? i already tried WD-40 and goo-gone w/no results. Thanks!!

Goof-off works really well for most things I've tried it on.

Try nail polish remover.
