Looking for a Engine oil dipstick and tube for a olds 455 that actually fits with headers. Picked up a Spectre one, complete garbage.
Yeah, the Supercars Unlimited one is like that. That Spectre one is the same fits tight, it just needs a little sanding. All the other chrome ones needed the bottom of the tube ground off and they still fit loose in the block. At least the half dozen I have bought. Most of the time the bulb is too large on the aftermarket tubes and needs to be sanded down a bit.
try rocket racing and performance I purchased a dip stick and tube for my olds 455 i have yet to install it and i don't have headers but they maybe able to help youLooking for a Engine oil dipstick and tube for a olds 455 that actually fits with headers. Picked up a Spectre one, complete garbage.
The Lokar is very similar to my Canton pan mounted dipstick, except it is thread in.I did a lokar LS one on mine. Found the mod a few years back, don't recall where. You have to epoxy it in and grind the hex flats off the back side to clear the block. Looks super clean. Than I bought a spare wire dipstick/handle, removed the wire and just use the handle as a plug, keeping the real dipstick in the trunk so it soesn't get wrapped up in the crank(and it will)
