The only differences in the seat brackets are between bench and bucket seats. If your car has a column shift it most likely has bench. Try to get the type of seats that came with the car becuase the brackets are a pain to get out without ruining them.

i have a pair of brown buckets out of a cutlass if you are intersted... also have a bunch of rndom interior parts, mostly out of regals

78 malibu is a G body

Technically it isn't - it's an A-body special. The g-body designation (switch to metric) didn't start until 1982, when the FWD cousins stole the A-body designation (would have made more sense the other way around, but hey, that's GM for ya). But... all 78-88 models are generally referred to as G-bodies because they share the same frame and are nearly identical mechanically.

im planing on using a 40/60 electric driver side regal bench on my 78 Malibu, but havent tried fitting it yet. Now i'm thinking will they fit :? Good thing i didnt pay anything for them. I just figuir it did.
