Going to get my donor car tomorrow. It is a 2002 Camaro SS, gonna need most of the parts that will fit a g body, but if anyone needs any Camaro parts I will have a few. Car has an LS-1 with around 50,000 miles with a 4L60E trans, and is complete, but wrecked prety bad on the left front. Will post pics when I get it home.

Im interested in the posi unit and gears.. Let me know whats in the rear? Gears? And unit..
 
i may be interested in the ls1. thats my goal for my malibu. whats ur location and what would u want for it
 
Sorry Kelly, thats why it is a donor car, I am going to use engine and transmission.
 
ok. jus curious how much did u pay for the car. and are u goin to leav it stock, with fuel injection or what?
 
The brakes are a popular swap item you may want to hang on to.
The 02' ls engines are the better of the ls1 setups, many have ls6 intakes, sometimes heads, & even blocks ,which are better than standard ls1 I bought 10 years ago. The fans fit good with the use of an aftermarket early 70's camaro / nova radiator support cover.

The OE Cutlass G body top plate also works, and are pretty common in yards..at least around here.

Paid 3200 for the car, is wrecked prety bad, but was able to patch her up enough to take it down the road for a trans. check, all is well and she has a ton of power. The plan is to go in just like it is, fuel injected 4L60E and all. Most likely even use the stock f-body manifolds if theh will work. Looking to build a driver not a racer, but it wont hurt to have some power if I want to pass some unsuspecting Mustang or ricer.

JL: How do I know if I have the LS-6 parts, is there a way to Identify? This is my first time working with an LS, built lots of small blocks, just learning on the LS

hell yea. i understand what ya mean. if i can fin one ill cam it, headers and maybe carb it. i like the fuel injection better but its all still up in the air. and i want a 6 spd. the way you shift gears and hammer down u can feel the power. and idk much about them either so ill definantly be watching here and trying to learn pros and cons
