I recently switched all of my old door hardware into new door shells. Now that I did this and put it back together, the exterior door latch retaining rod is disengaging every time I pull the inner door release. See photos. I must have that rod hooked up into the wrong hole, but nothing else seems to be in a place where it would fit and work. Same issue on both doors. Unfortunately I didn’t take a photo of the rod orientation before disassembly. Please help!
